Women, men and children, young and elderly people from modest social background, partly unemployed and sick, are asked to answer the question “What does dignity mean to you?” in front of a camera. A series of short scenes, lasting few seconds each, feature different people such as a woman driving a car, an old man sitting on the street with some hanks of wool, a baker, women and men at work and other close-ups of people in the street.
