- Title
- The Last Lacandones
- Synopsis
For hundreds of years the Lacandones lived isolated in the immense rainforest. As the forest rapidly shrinks, their culture is dying. Where can you go in the era of globalisation? A film about a family at the crossroads between a mythical past and an unknown future. This film has special meaning to many in Big Sur who knew Giles Healey, the famous archeologist who, with the help of Lacandones, found and described the ruins of Bonampak. (for this reason we made an exception to our 40min. max. length rule).
